Quassin (Standard) is the analytical standard of Quassin. This product is intended for research and analytical applications. Quassin (Nigakilactone D) is a bioactive triterpenoid from stem bark extract of Quassia amara. Quassin inhibits P. falciparum with an IC 50 of 0.15 microM. Quassin possesses reversible antifertility, anti-estrogenic and anti-plasmodial activity [1] [2] .
