Scientific Description
The recombinant rat CEACAM1 comprises 399 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 44.9 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the recombinant protein is approximately 66-76 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation. A DNA sequence encoding the rat CEACAM1 (Met1-Ser422) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
