    The recombinant rat CDH8 comprises 599 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 65.9 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the recombinant protein is approximately 76-85 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation. A DNA sequence encoding the rat CDH8 (NP_445845.2)(Met1-Met621) was expressed with six amino acids (LEVLFQ) at the C-terminus.
