Interleukin-1bèta (IL-1bèta) is a non-secreted pro-inflammatory cytokine produced primarily by activated macrophages as well as neutrophils, epithelial cells and endothelial cells. Measured by a cell proliferation assay using mouse D10S cells, the ED50 is 1.0 x 108 units/mg.

Stored at ≤ -20°C, stable for one year after receipt. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for 2-7 days and at -20°C for 3 months.
