RTDLDSLRTYTL is a high-affinity and specific inhibitor of Alpha (v) beta (6) integrin (avb6). By binding to the avb6 integrin, this peptide sequence activates T cell cytotoxicity and cytokine production, such as interferon-gamma. Through the design of chimeric T cell antigen receptors (CAR), RTDLDSLRTYTL enables T cells to be redirected, allowing them to specifically recognize and attack tumor cells. It is used in research for cancer immunotherapy and the development of targeted drugs.
