SCGB1A1 Protein demonstrates diverse binding abilities, interacting with phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylinositol, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB), and, to a lesser extent, progesterone. It acts as a robust phospholipase A2 inhibitor, forming an antiparallel homodimer linked by disulfide bonds. Although there is controversy regarding its interaction with LMBR1L, additional research is necessary for clarification.
