Soyasapogenol A, a triterpene compound, isolated from soybean. Soyasapogenol A directly prevents apoptosis of hepatocytes, and secondly, inhibits the elevation of plasma TNF-alpha, which consequently results in the prevention of liver damage in the Concanavalin A-induced hepatitis model [1] [2] .
