The compound demonstrates antiproliferative effects on DU145 and MDA-MB-231 cancer cell lines, which have overactivated STAT3, with IC50 values of 2.97 microM and 3.26 microM, respectively. Moreover, STAT3-IN-20 induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis [1].
