Strictinin is a phenolic compound isolated from Puer teas. Strictinin has potential antiviral, antibacterial and laxative activities. Strictinin occurs by accelerating intestinal transit rather than enhancing gastric emptying, increasing food intake, or inducing diarrhea in rats.
