Symetine dihydrochloride (L 16726 dihydrochloride) is the dihydrochloride form of Symetine (HY-101590). Symetine dihydrochloride exhibits antiprotozoal activity aginst Entamoeba histolytica , and ameliorates the amebic liver abscess in guinea pig model [1] .
