Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections of a 10-week placenta were stained with anti-Trop2 (b) and 11-4.1 (control, c) antibodies and then incubated with a peroxidase-coupled anti-mouse immunoglobulin. Both cytotrophoblast (CT) and syscytiotrophoblast (ST) stain positively with anti-Trop2 antibodies.
