There are two major classes of heat stable microtubule associated proteins (MAPS): MAP 2 (280 kD), and Tau (55-65 kD). Both classes of heat stable MAPS have a role in the regulation of microtubule polymerization in cells. The antibody reacts on immunoblot

IHC-P: Use at a dilution of 1/50. Prolonged fixation in buffered formalin can destroy the epitope. IHC-Fr: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
