Tetrapentylammonium bromide is a quaternary ammonium salt consisting of a positively charged tetrapentylammonium cation and a negatively charged bromide anion. This compound is commonly used as a phase transfer catalyst in organic synthesis reactions to facilitate the transfer of reactants between immiscible phases.
