  • Scientific Description
Chemical. CAS: 38748-32-2. Formula: C20H24O6. MW: 360.4. Isolated from Tripterygium sp. Potent immunosuppressant with anti-inflammatory and antitumor properties. Exhibits potent antiproliferative activity, induces apoptosis, modulates autophagy and inhibits cell cycle regulators. Inhibits global gene transcription by inducing degradation of RNA polymerase II (Pol II) and by inhibiting the ATPase activity of XPB (a subunit of the general transcription factor TFIIH). Human dCTP pyrophosphatase 1 inhibitor. Interferes with a number of transcription factors including p53, NF-kappaB, nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) and heat shock factor protein 1 (HSF-1). Shown to inhibit aromatase activity. Shows antifertility activity and antipolycystic kidney disease effects. - Potent immunosuppressant with anti-inflammatory and antitumor properties.
