Valencene is a sesquiterpene isolated from Cyperus rotundus , possesses antiallergic, antimelanogenesis, anti-infammatory, and antioxidant activitivies. Valencene inhibits the exaggerated expression of Th2 chemokines and proinflammatory chemokines through blockade of the NF-kappaB pathway. Valencene is used to flavor foods and drinks [1] [2] [3] .
