Vatanidipine (Watanidipine) is an orally active dihydropyridine (DHP)-type calcium channel blocker and a useful antihypertensive agent. Vatanidipine shows vasodilatory effects and also suppresses noradrenaline release from sympathetic nerve endings [1] [2] .
