ZIKV-IN-6 (compound 22) acts as a direct inhibitor of the Zika virus (ZIKV) by binding to its RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) and obstructing viral RNA synthesis mediated by the ZIKV NS5 protein. This compound also demonstrates low cytotoxicity (CC50 >50 uM) and mitigates the excessive inflammatory response and pyroptosis [1].
