ZNRF3, as an E3 ubiquitin protein ligase, plays a crucial role as a negative regulator in the Wnt signaling pathway. It does this by mediating the ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of components within the Wnt receptor complex, namely Frizzled and LRP6.
