Tris solution is suitable for molecular immunology, molecular biology and nucleic acid methodologies, when applicable. This product is a concentrated stock solution and should be diluted appropriately with distilled, deionized water or equivalent to its final working concentration. This buffer consists of 1.0 M Tris HCl at pH 7.4. Meticulously prepared using ultra pure reagents dissolved in highly polished pharmaceutical grade (WFI) water. All assays should be optimized by the user.

Tris solution is an abbreviation of the organic compound known as tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane. Tris is extensively used in biochemistry and molecular biology. In biochemistry, Tris is widely used as a component of buffer solutions, such as in TAE and TBE buffer, especially for solutions of nucleic acids. Tris HCl solution is useful for stabilization of buffer formulations and electrophoresis of biological molecules.
