12-O-Deacetyl-phomoxanthone A, a Na+/Ca2+ exchanger 1 (NCX1) activator, causes an increase in cellular Ca2+ signaling and subsequent inhibition of the downstream PI3K/AKT/beta-catenin pathway. 12-O-Deacetyl-phomoxanthone A induces apoptosis and induces G1 phase arrest. 12-O-Deacetyl-phomoxanthone A can be used in the research for melanoma[1].
