Scientific Description
Isoferulic acid (3-Hydroxy-4-methoxycinnamic acid) is a kind of cinnamic acid derivative with anti - diabetes activity. Isoferulic acid (3-hydroxy-4-methoxycinnamic acid) binds and activates alfa 1-adrenergic receptor (IC50=1.4 uM), Enhanced bèta -endorphin secretion (EC50=52.2 nM) and increased in vitro glucose use. Isoferulic acid also has activity against influenza virus.
