- Scientific DescriptionChemical. CAS: 215868-23-8. Formula: C10H6F2O3. MW: 212.15. Synthetic. UV-excitable blue fluorescent blue dye. Used to label Abeta-proteins, bacteria, histone deacetylase, nucleic acids, peptides, proteins and sugar chains. Applied in studies amplifying/detecting nucleic acid sequences, analyzing peptides, sugar chains, detecting bacteria, as a substrate for measuring acyl protein thioesterase (APT1), alpha-amylase, aryl sulfatases, beta-galactosidases, guanidinobenzoatase, beta-lactamase, lipase, phosphatases, protein kinases and xylanase activity. Used in diagnosing/treating traumatic brain injury, treating amyloidogenic disease and as temperature sensor. Can be used as a reference standard for substrates derived from this blue-fluorescent dye (CDX-D0164). Spectral data: &lambda - ex=362, &lambda - em=464. - UV-excitable blue fluorescent blue dye.
