This antibody is capable of binding to opioid receptors on T98G human glioblastoma cells. This antibody could also recognize conjugate of mAb 6G1 - horseradish peroxidase with 6-hemisuccinyl morphine ester-BSA in an ELISA. When rabbits were immunized with AI-G1 antibody, they generated antibodies that were capable of recognizing all tested derivatives of morphine (RU2717989).
