This antibody binds to AdiC of enteric bacteria. AdiC is a membrane protein acting as a transporter that imports arginine from the gastric juice and exports its decarboxylation product agmatine along with protons. AdiC is responsible for the acid-resistance of enteric bacteria. The antibody does not inhibit function of the transporter.
