    Binds to the transmembrane domain of the alpha-5 GABAA receptor. To see the exact epitope see the crystal structure (Miller et al, 2017). Nb25 straddles the neurotransmitter-binding site between adjacent subunits.
  • Application Supplier Note
    The antibody was used to facilitate the crystallisation of the a5 GABAA receptor transmembrane domain where it was shown to form a 1080A2 area interface (approx.). Nb25 was used to increase the soluability and aid packing in the crystal. It has been shown that the binding of Nb25 does not affect the potentiation of the receptor. (Miller et al, 2017)
