The antibody is specific for the negatively charged phospholipids (PS, PI, PG, CL). The antibody does not cross-react with neutral phospholipids (PE, PC).

The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The antibody demonstrates lupus anticoagulant activity (Menon et al., 1997; PMID: 9080299).
