This antibody binds to human BMPR-1A, which, on ligand bindingg, forms a receptor complex acting as a serine/threonine kinase, activating SMAD transcriptional regulators. They positively regulate chondrocyte differentiation, for example. The antibody neutralizes BMP-binding to the receptor.
