- Scientific DescriptionCalreticulin is a calcium-binding chaperone that promotes proteins folding, oligomeric assembly, quality control and N-linked glycosylation of proteins along the secretory pathway in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) via the calreticulin/calnexin cycle. Calreticulin also interacts with the DNA-binding domain of NR3C1 and mediates its nuclear export.
