  • Antibody Specificity
This antibody specifically binds an epitope located within the 2nd extracellular loop of human CCR2. The human C-C chemokine receptor type 2 is a key functional receptor for CCL2 but can also bind CCL7 and CCL12.
  • Application Supplier Note
The binding specificity of this antibody to full length CCR2, and 1St and 2nd loop of CCR2 was determined using ELISA. The binding reactivity of this antibody to the surface bound CCR2 receptors was confirmed with flow cytometry. This antibody can positively inhibit chemotaxis of THP-1 monocytes. The therapeutic effects of this antibody were studied in in vivo mouse models of inflammation, multiple sclerosis and neuropathic pain (US8710191).
