This antibody has been used in research on the diagnosis and treatment of non-Hodgkins B cell lymphoma. Specificity to B-cell line of the LL2 (EPB-2) antibody was confirmed by radioimmunobinding and flow cytometry, where it did not bind to any other targets, such as T cells and normal diploid cells at the same time labelling malignant lymphoma tissue (Pawlak-Byczkowska et al., 1989).
