This antibody binds to the laterally exposed CD loop of CD28 and induces T cell proliferation without TCR ligation.

This antibody binds to mouse CD28. The original mouse IgG1 version was shown to trigger T-cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo in a TCR-independent manner and is a superagonistic antibody. This antibody does not compete with E18 (Ab00286).
