- Antibody SpecificityThis antibody specific for the extracellular domain of human CD79b human CD79b. CD79b is required in tandem with CD79A for initiation of the signal transduction cascade induced by the B-cell antigen receptor complex which leads to internalization of the c
- Application Supplier NoteExpression of CD79b in Raji, Daudi, and EHRB B-cell lines and the EHRB transfectant clones 9 and 12 was determined with a western blot using the mouse version of this antibody (Cragg et al, 2002; pmid:12384401). To stimulate HEK293 cells transfected with a AttBR4 site during a SHIP-1 recruitment assay the mouse version of this antibody was used. The antibody did manage to increase folding is some situations (Stopforth et al, 2018; pmid:29351998). To further our understanding of CLL biology, a western blot was performed on lysed isolated B-cells and CLL cells using the mouse version of this antibody (Johnston et al, 2018; pmid:29367434).
