  • Antibody Specificity
This antibody specific for the intracellular domain of human CD79b. CD79b is required in tandem with CD79A for initiation of the signal transduction cascade induced by the B-cell antigen receptor complex which leads to internalization of the complex, traf
  • Application Supplier Note
To study chronic lymphocytic leukemia, immunohistochemistry was performed on tissues from patients with CLL or RT using the rat version of this antibody (Allan et al, 2019). Tissue from non-Hodgkin lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia patients was stained for immunohistochemistry using the rat version of this antibody to create an antibody-drug conjugate consisting of a humanized anti-CD79b antibody that is conjugated to monomethylauristatin E. This construct is supposed to help the patients with these forms of cancer (Dornan et al, 2009; pmid:19633198). To investigate anti CD79b clone DCDS0780A as a possible therapeutic agent against B-NHL, immunohistochemistry was performed on tissues from B-NHL patients that had relapsed after or failed to respond to at least one prior treatment regimen using the rat version of this antibody (Herrera et al, 2022; pmid:34980599). To determine the expression of CD79b in tumor cells immunohistochemistry was performed on tissues from R/R DLBCL patients using the rat version of this antibody (Sehn et al, 2019; pmid:31693429). To determine the lymphoma isotype of dogs, flow cytometry was performed on lymph node cells using the rat version of this antibody (Thalheim et al, 2013; pmid:24112291). To understand immune activity in koalas, flow cytometry was performed on peripheral blood leukocytes of koalas using the rat version of this antibody (Lau et al, 2012; pmid:22551982). To characterize a CD4+ CD25 high FOXP3 high regulatory T-cell population in dogs, flow cytometry was used on PMBCs using the rat version of this antibody (Pinheiro et al, 2011; pmid:20880379).
