Overview
- SupplierAbsolute Antibody
- Product NameAnti-CD8A [YCATE55.9]
- Delivery Days Customer7
- Application Supplier NoteThis antibody recognizes canine CD8alpha, and has been used in in IF and IHC studies to establish that CD8 expression is confined to a minority population of T cells, as is the case for other species (Cobbold, 1994). In a canine transplant model, administration of this antibody, in combination with another anti-CD8 antibody (YCATE60.3.9) causes a 90 per cent depletion of CD8+ T cells from the peripheral blood, but does not result in prolonged allograft survival (Watson, 1993). However, the administration of this antibody in combination with an anti-CD4 antibody is associated with an immunosuppressive effect, and an extended median graft survival time. This antibody blocks MHC class I dependant T-cell responses in vitro and in vivo.
