- Application Supplier NoteThis antibody can be used for the detection of Citrus tristeza virus in crude extracts of plants infected with isolates T-300 or T-308 using ELISA and double antibody sandwich ELISA. This antibody reacted with 20 CTV isolates from different Spanish citrus areas as well as with CTV isolates from California (T-514) and two unclassified from Iran and Vietnam in an ELISA (Vela et al., 1986). Transgenic plants expressing this antibody showed both a delay in symptom appearance and attenuation of symptom intensity. Overall, 40-60% of the plants were resistant, as revealed by the absence of virus antigens in tissue-print ELISA (PMID: 20204695).
