The antibody is specific to human DR5, with a dissociation constant of 0.0729nm.

This antibody binds DR5, activation of which triggers apoptosis. Consequently, this antibody has shown anti-tumour activity in mice with subcutaneously transplanted colon carcinoma cells Colo205. The antibody has been shown to function in ELISA and RIA.
