The original antibody was used for surface plasmon resonance on VZV gHgL. This antibody was used for a neutralization assay. Here is showed it was able to inhibit gB/gHgL-mediated membrane fusion. The structure of this antibody was determined using x-ray crystallography (Xing et al., 2015; PMID:25918416). This antibody was used for immunohistochemistry on fixed and unfixed VZV-infected and control HFL cells. This antibody was also used for a plaque reduction assay on VZV-infected HFL cells. Further this antibody was used for immunoprecipitation on VZV-infected and uninfected HFL cells (Birlea et al., 2013; PMID:23077312).
