The structure of the original antibody bound to its antigen was determined using cryo-EM. Further the original antibody was used for both a preattachment neutralizing assay and a postattachment neutralization assay on HeLa-H1 cell monolayers. The antibody showed the ability to neutralize RV-B14 in both assays. The antibody was able to trigger genome release in the virus (Dong et al., 2017; PMID:28696310).
