This antibody is an affinity matured version of the original murine parent antibody HC84.26. This antibody is capable of recognizing E1E2 proteins from six different HCV genotypes and subtypes in an ELISA. This antibody is capable of neutralizing 1a and 2a HCVcc isolates of strains H77C and JFH1 (PMID: 22511875; 27641232). The original antibody was also used in the immunoprecipitation of 1a H77C recombinant E1E2 lysate (PMID: 22511875). The original antibody demonstrated synergistic effects towards the majority of the HCVccs when combined individually with AR4A (PMID: 25043937).
