Specificity of this antibody was confirmed by ELISA tests. The antibody binds the RNA with dissociation constants of 32 +/- 7 nM specifically recognizing the so-called junction IIIabc (JIIIabc). In vitro translation assay demonstrated that the antibody binds to junction IIIabc of HCV IRES inhibiting IRES-mediated translation in a concentration-dependent manner, which indicates this antibody might be used in the development of the therapeutic agents (PMID: 31765566)
