  • Scientific Description
Neurospora crassa has been an excellent model organism for eukaryotic genetics and biochemistry and one of the workhorses for fungal cell biology research. The rapid (mm~4 hr/1) filamentous growth habit of N. crassa is the result of a strongly polarized mechanism culminating in the biogenesis of the tubular cell wall. Woronin bodies (WBs)peroxisome-related are membrane-bound organelles of filamentous ascomycetes that mediate hyphal compartmentalization by plugging septal pores upon hyphal damage. Their major component is the peroxisomal protein HEX-1, which has also been implicated in additional cellular processes in fungi. - Recombinant Antibody. Recognizes Hex1 from Neurospora crassa. Applications: ELISA, IGS. Clone: SH1237-F8. Isotype: Human IgG1. Formulation: Liquid. In PBS.
