  • Antibody Specificity
The antibody specifically binds human HLA-A2 and does not cross react with A28, Aw68, or Aw69 antigens.
  • Application Supplier Note
This antibody specifically reacts with human HLA-A2 and does not cross react with A28, Aw68, or Aw69 antigens (PMID: 2160447). The reactivity of this antibody to human HLA-A2 was determined using ELISA. The reactivity of this antibody towards HLA-A2 was abolished by substitutions in the a1 domain, specifically the substitutions of alanine for glutamic acid at position 58 (E58A) and either a valine or arginine substitution for glycine at position 62 (G62V or G62R). The reactivity of this antibody to surface bound HLA-A*0201 was determined using complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) assay (PMID: 9862700).

  • Reactivity Supplier Note
The original antibody was generated from the peripheral blood lymphocytes obtained from a multiparous volunteer 1 week postpartum were transformed in vitro by Epstein-Barr virus and electro fused with the heterohybridoma fusion partner, K6H6/B5. The screening for specific clone was done using micro lymphocytotoxicity assay.
