This antibody blocks the myasthenia gravis (MG)-associated DQ beta 1 allele, and is able to inhibit the proliferation of T cells from MG patients (Ayyar & Atassi, 2017). A humanised scFv derived from this antibody, which has been confirmed in ELISA analysis to recognise the same epitope, is also able to block the proliferation of T cells from MG patients typed DQB1*0601 (Ayyar & Atassi, 2017).
