This antibody is not suitable for detecting denatured human HLA-G protein in a western blot. This antibody can be used for the detection of soluble HLA-G in a sample using ELISA (PMID: 10902607). This antibody can effectively detect HLA-G and HLA-G3 on K653-HLA-G1, K562-G3 transductants, M8-HLA-G1 and JEG-3 cells in a flow cytometric analysis (PMID: 12590976; 22738368). This antibody was also used for studying the expression of HLA-G on the surface of JEG-3 cells using immunofluorescence staining (PMID: 22738368). This antibody can be used for immunohistochemical analysis of cryopreserved serial sections of trophoblast tissue. This antibody is not suitable for immunohistochemical staining of paraffin sections (PMID: 12590976). This antibody was also reported to be used in isolation of HLA-G+ cells for prenatal screening (PMID: 35498932).
