  • Antibody Specificity
This antibody binds the HPi2 marker on the surface of human pancreatic enriched islet cells.
  • Application Supplier Note
This antibody binds distinct surface molecules expressed on endocrine cells and have been validated for a number of experimental methods including immunohistochemistry and live cell sorting by flow cytometry. This antibody can be used individually or in combination with others to isolate populations of alpha, beta, exocrine, or duct cells from primary human pancreas by FACS and to characterize the detailed cell composition of human islet preparations (PMID: 19383399, 27641999). This antibody was used in combination with HIC3-2D12 to identify and isolate major subtypes of the human islet cells including alpha- and beta-cells and the purity levels of the isolated cells was determined using immunofluorescence staining (PMID: 31780397). Humanized version of this antibody has also been reported (PMID: 29758224). Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) with scFv form of this antibody was used in the novel Tregs-based antigen-specific Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) immunotherapy (PMID: 33068914).
