This antibody recognizes human MMP-8 in western blot without cross reactivity with other MMPs. Reactivity to MMP-8 of other species is not tested.

This antibody was produced from a hybridoma (mouse myeloma fused with spleen cells from a mouse immunized with purified human recombinant human MMP-8). The IgG fraction of culture supernatant was purified by Protein G affinity chromatography and lyophilized from a 0.2 microm filtered solution in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS).
