Scientific Description
A rabbit antiserum raised against human complement SC5b-9 protein. SC5b-9 is the soluble version of the terminal complement complex (TCC). The TCC is a multi-protein complex consisting of complement proteins C5, C6, C7, C8, and multiple copies of C9. This complex forms pores in the cell membranes, causing lysis and ultimately cell death. Quidels polyclonal antiserum to SC5b-9 can been used in a variety of immunochemical techniques including RID, EIA, Ouchterlony. Please contact Quidel Technical Support for further information.
