The specificity of this antibody (IgG2b) was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The IFN-g ELISA was also capable of measuring cytokine levels in the sera of chickens orally infected with Eimeria maxima. The antibody detected the recombinant IFN-y by western blot analysis. The antibody was capable of neutralizing IFN-g bioactivity against virus-infected cells (Yun et al, 2000; pmid: 10713342).
