- Antibody SpecificityThis antibody is specific for EBV LMP1.
- Application Supplier NoteThe specificity of this antibody has been confirmed in ELISA analysis (Mann et al, 1985). This antibody has been used in immunoblotting analysis of EBV LMP1 expression, identifying LMP1 in all membrane-containing fractions of EBV-positive cell lines, as well as in samples of highly purified virions (Mann et al, 1985). This antibody has also been used in in flow cytometric analysis using either acetone or methanol fixation (Mann et al, 1985), in the immunoprecipitation of LMP1 from lymphocyte extractions (Liebowitz et al, 1987) and in Western blot analysis (Gabibov et al, 2011). This antibody, when labelled with colloidal gold, has been used in immunoelectron microscopy (Liebowitz et al, 1987). Additionally, this antibody has been shown to be more sensitive than anti-LMP1 CS1-4 for immunohistochemical staining of tissue sections (Jiwa et al, 1995), and has been used in analysis of paraffin-embedded nasopharyngeal carcinoma sections (Khabir et al, 2005), and paraffin-embedded and frozen B and T cell non-Hodgkins lymphoma, Hodgkins disease and infectious mononucleosis samples (Jiwa et al, 1995).
