This antibody binds lycopene. Lycopene is a naturally occurring red pigment, which belongs to the family of carotenoids. It is found in tomatoes, watermelon and papaya. Lycopene is one of the most powerful antioxidants, belonging to the tetraterpene group

The binding reactivity of the original antibody towards lycopene was determined using ELISA (WO2018115885).
